Meiying Art Studio

Meiying Art Studio was founded in 1999 by Meiying Zhang in San Jose, California. Meiying Zhang graduated from Lu Xun Art Institute in China in 1984 with a degree in art, an honors diploma. She then began teaching in the Art Department of Shen Yang Teachers College. After twelve years, Meiying accepted a promotion to assistant professor. She is also a professional artist teacher who received an invitation to China National Art Association in 1994. The China Snow Villa Artist Association named her a board member that same year. Meiying Zhang received the 1995 "Gardener Award" from China's Cultural and Education Ministries, which honors artists for their excellent contribution and expertise each year. In 1998, Meiying Zhang fulfilled the Immigration Act for Individuals with Outstanding Achievement and immigrated to the U.S. She then established Meiying Art Studio in San Jose. Since then, she has been an active member of the Northern California Chinese Artists Association. In addition, she was invited to conduct a judge penal at the CPAA International Youth Fine Art Contest in 2005. In the same year, Meiying was honoured as a fellow judge of the Ranch 99 Market Annual Mother's Day Art Contest. Our art school, the Meiying Art Studio, is open for everyone who loves art. This institution allows you to join at any time throughout the year with an enrollment open to all. To ensure that our classes are of high quality, the student to teacher ratio at the Meiying studio is 6:1. Our focus is on providing oil painting, graphite, watercolor, pen and ink, as well as pencil & ink. Our studio also offers week-long summer camps from June through August in a variety of subjects including still life painting and landscape painting. Each member of our staff is a talented artist and is excited to share their passion and talent with students.
