Ms. Lott is the President of the Sacramento Organization of Social security Claimants Representatives. This organization provides continuing education, bench-bar functions, and other activities with local Administrative Law Judges. Shellie Lott is also on the Board of California Rural Legal Assistance. Additionally, she chairs the San Joaquin County Bar MCLE Committee and is on the Social Security Panel for County's Lawyer Referral Service. She is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claims' Representatives ("NOSSCR").
