Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery - Denver - 3540 S Poplar St

We had a HORRIBLE experience with our visit to Advanced Dermatology. We will not be back. It is unfortunate, because we just moved to Denver from Los Angeles. Finding a Doctor is challenging enough, then calling in and scheduling appointments can stretch out 5 - 6 weeks or more. The Doctor's visit itself was good. I had scheduled a second visit to do a complete skin check. Dr Ella-Marie Rakowski was very professional & I was looking forward to working with her. The problem is with the Office Staff. I booked 2 appointments for myself and my wife for 3:25 & 4:00 PM on 4-18 5-6 weeks prior. My wife took a 1/2 day off of work to be at the appointment and I came from work in Downtown Denver. I drove 15 miles & my wife drove 25 miles. Upon arrival at 3:08 I spoke with Margreta ( I hope I haved the names correct - that would be the lady that has a man's Haircut , dresses & talks like a man). I discussed with Margreta that me & my wife made 2 appointments 3:25 & 4:00, my wife was running a few minutes behind because of traffic - could I take the 3:25 appointment & Judy / my wife could take the 4:00 appt. Magreta looked directly at me eye to eye and said that would be fine and then asked if I wanted to complete the sign in manually by paper or use the IPAD. When my wife arrived at 3:35 she attempted to sign in and take the 4:00 PM appointment as discussed with Magreta. Magreta coldly directed NO - You are late for your 3:25, you will have to leave. Judy discussed with Margreta that my husband Doug discussed with you the 2 appointments and how Doug was taking the 3:25 & Judy would take the 4:00. Again Margreta said there was no one to talk with , no flexibility , you're late - you have to leave and if you want I can reschedule another appointment. ( Be aware the earliest next appointment is June 29th or into July). When I exited my appointment with Dr Rakowski I looked for my wife. The current office staff told me they sent her away. When I discussed with them that I had discussed the appt swap with Margreta when I initially arrived at 3:08 and she said it was OK - the front desk persons all said I was wrong, nothing was discussed and too bad. I did explain that we just moved into Denver - this was our first visit & the swap was discussed and OKed by Margreta. This conversation turned into me against 3 of your front desk staff, then Alysha Aragon came to the front and very coldly exclaimed...there is nothing to do - your wife was late - we sent her away. Alysha then asked if I wanted to speak with the office manager. I did tell her NO because I truly feel that no amount of conversation from the Manger is going to change the lack of Professionalism exhibited by that group of Front desk staff. Then Alysha started into a little HAPPY DANCE while saying over & over " Have a nice Day - Have a nice Day. I did tell her at that time that her attitude and Have a Nice Day really was showing that she did not care about the patients. There is no way I could trust this group to handle any of my records or procurement of any complicated special order medicines. We will not be back to Advanced Dermatology. Furthermore - with Alysha's HAPPY DANCE and the Front Desk staff's lack of any care, concern and NO attempt to make anything right - I now will be looking for any Denver Regulatory Body that oversees Advanced Dermatology. I will be registering a complaint. My wife did look online for any previous reviews of Advanced Dermatology - she found many - most were negative and related to the treatment of patients by the office staff. So I guess I'm not the first unsatisfied patient. Too bad I didn't review them before I made the choice for both me & my wife to make appointments here. Since I am convinced that no amount of discussion with the office manager will change this unprofessional behavior - I will be posting this negative review to any and all Online ratings sites. I do not expect for this email to go anywhere in the Advanced Dermatology management, I do not expect this email to be answered or even read by Advanced Dermatology management. This email is for my benefit only as I am able to shed this bad experience & move on to find another Dermatologist. Like Alysha said about 20 times yesterday. Have a Nice Day.
