Denver Health started as City Hospital in 1860 to address the rising health requirements in Denver. We have offered care to the city's residents at all stages of life and have developed with the population. We have grown over the past 162 years as a teaching hospital with an integrated healthcare system. Healthy individuals are critical to a healthy community is one of Denver Health's mottos, and its operation shows it. The reviews provide a mixed assessment of Denver Cares. Positive comments praise staff for saving their lives through the TRT program, how caring, compassionate and supportive they were. Negative feedback mainly addresses people being treated poorly, hostility and strict rules. Not being able to call out, or that noise levels don't allow sleep, or that some residents should not even be there. Others say that the facility is crowded and a bit austere, possible that this is to maintain a 'get well' environment, but all the clients say they got so much support. Staff also are commended for genuineness and compassion and that they are doing their jobs. They state that some residents may not want the help they give, but this is unavoidable. This is a diverse group of clients; they may be in different places in their life, mentally and physically. These are residents, and they will not be making this experience easy for them, so if one plans on attending, and then making mean comments may be comitting to something they are not ready for but it will be beneficial to the people who are.Data presented is that the directors of the center suggest that similar programs will not find this conducive, but all in all the facility gives a glowing review for the people who work hard to be able to transition back into an uncontrolled environment with an optimistic view for the future.
