Jess has been involved in pixel work from the early days of digital photography. Despite that, he is inferior in technical skills to his artistic vision. Jess grew up in a family of artists, and he discovered his passion for photography at a young age. His father gave him his first camera when he was eight years old. By the time he was in fifth grade, he had already created his darkroom prints. Jess utilized his degree from RIT’s School of Photographic Arts and Sciences to launch his professional career in photography and retouching at New York and Philadelphia studios. Jess and his team of photographers and retouchers have run a Colorado commercial studio since 2000. Jess started New West Photography in 2016 during the peak of his previous endeavors. Jess thinks taking photos is not as crucial as creating excellent photos. She specializes in modifying lighting, camera settings, models, and props to achieve the desired image. Jess loves bombing single tracks or crushing the slopes, then cooling off with a craft beer (New West Photography, n.d.).
