This is a scam! Do not use! The company fucntions as a broker and actually goes conveniently by several other names. They are not a moving company and provide absolutely no services themselves. Their "binding agreement" and upfront deposit, is completely disregarded and they pass off the driving and delivery to other companies. When these drives arrive, you are forced to sign a new contract on the spot, they demand a new set of fees, only cash/check payment, and they deny any previously agreed upon services that you paid for upfront. In my experience, they also delivered before my earliest acceptable delivery date and then forced me to buy a storage unit in

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - COMPLETE SCAM
Everything was broke when it finally showed up, now trying to file a claim and the horrible mover they contracted with is now out of business, how convenient.
How is Americas Moving and Storage in business????
Don’t use this company! I don’t know how much they are paying for these positive reviews, but please don’t fall for the scam like I did. I know what you are thinking. “The price is so affordable! We have a contract! It can’t be that bad!” That’s what I thought, at least. The reason the price is so affordable initially is because they straight up lie. They purposely underestimate the weight of your items and tell you that they’ll get an exact weight later and it won’t change the price too much (it will), they tell you have to act now because they can only get you a good deal if they combine you with another mover (they won’t), and that they’ll use a conventional moving company truck (they won’t). Then two days before your move, they’ll ask for the exact weight of everything, raise the weight by two or three times the initial quote, and tell you anything over the weight will be left behind. Oh and in that original contract, they’ll only give you a ridiculously small amount of space that can’t possibly fit all your stuff. I had a bunk bed, queen mattress, and couch included on my quote, and they gave me half the size of a sprinter’s van. There was no way they could fit even half of our stuff in there. The deposit you paid before of about $1000 dollars is non refundable at that point, of course. Don’t trust this company!! Go with a conventional mover.
Real customer here - do not use this (or any) Broker for you move. All this company does is plays with a moving estimator (all moving companies have them free), low balls your move, gets you sign and collect their fee which will be about 1/3 of the actual cost. On day one after you pay they are fine with you. You will never speak to them again. St that point they throw you into a moving company pool and your stuff is picked up by one company and traded down the line as space is available on trucks through a network of moving companies. You have no idea who is handling your stuff. The pickup will be a high pressure sales job explaining how the broker grossly underestimated and, if you choose to continue, you will need to sign a more expensive contract right there on the spot while the moving truck is at your house, take it or leave it. At that point all plans and arrangements are made, so you have to take it. Your stuff will go off into the night and you won't have any idea which moving depot it's going to,vits all done on the fly as they figure it out to optimize truck space to squeeze profit. Your delivery window is a joke and good luck trying to talk to someone, everything is hidden behind layers of phone numbers and answering services. Your stuff will show up eventually after much angst and gnashing of teeth. If you absolutely need to have a controlled budget and precise plans DO NOT USE A BROKER!
These are full on scammers. They are being investigated by the OFFICE OF TRANSPORTATION in Washington DC. Do not believe the positive reviews. This company makes you believe that they are a moving company. THEY ARE NOT. They are BROKERS. THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE POSTED BY THE COMPANY. We lost so much stuff and what we did get was broken or damaged. We paid 14000. To this company. Then the movers showed up... long story but the movers changed us 12,200. After half our stuff was on the truck. They left and left the other half at our home. We had to hire a uhaul to move the remaining household items. That was another 5000.00 plus gas to drive 2400 miles. When they brought our stuff to our new location they demanded another 15,000 cash and we had to sign a new contract saying everything was delivered and there was no damage. If we did not sign we could not have our stuff and of course we had to pay the 15,000 to get the items. So a move that was supposed to be around 14,000 ended up being 41,200.00 and that does not include gas or us having to replace our items. Read the BBB about this company.
PLEASE NO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
If it were possible for me to leave negative stars for this review, I would.
I hired this company to pick up my things from a storage unit in Tennessee and transport it to California where I recently moved for my job. I am only 23 and this company was charged with moving everything I owned.
Not only did the representative I first spoke to and signed the contract with lie to me about the date it would be delivered, but he also lied about the insurance coverage offered.
This company brokered multiple moving companies throughout this process, all of which they refused to provide me with their names or information (which was a breach of contract) and refused to tell me where my things were being stored for the full 2 months they had my things in possession.
The only reason I believe my things were even delivered at all was because I spent a whole day on the phone with company representatives and finally threatened to report my things as stolen if they weren't delivered. Turns out, I was spot on with that assumption.
Upon delivery, not only were a majority of my things destroyed and covered in pine needles and mold (as if they had been stored outside), but a huge number of my things had also been stolen as well. To name a few, my Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and all the games I had for both gaming systems were stolen (someone even had the audacity to log into my account on my Xbox while it was supposed to be in the care of the moving company), my decade-long collection of extremely valuable collectable cards, all of my jewelry and DVDs, even my mattress was stolen (which resulted in me sleeping on the floor for 3 months until I could replace it.
Additionally, some of my boxes were stained with some kind of unknown red liquid which ruined the clothes and stuffed animal I had in the box (the stuffed animal was one I had been given by my mom after thyroid cancer surgery.
I am still in the process of fighting for compensation from this company for this, and I will most likely end up having to hire a lawyer simply to be able to replace the things that were stolen and destroyed.
I could honestly go on and on for hours about the disgusting behavior of this company and everyone affiliated with it, but I'll cut it short and leave you with this parting thought.
Please, please, PLEASE, if you value your things and your time at all, I am imploring you to please do NOT use this company. If I could go back in time, I would make it so I never came across this company and devastatingly decided to do business with them; better yet, I would make it so this company never came to existence at all.
I found myself in an unfortunate situation with a company I didn't initially intend to hire. I had initially received a quote from a company called Americas Moving and Storage for $4,201. It turns out they are somehow affiliated with the company I ended up with (Us Interstate and Rail) it is located in Ohio. My experience with them has been frustrating, to say the least.
The trouble started when a rather impolite representative called, demanding immediate payment. Feeling cornered, I paid up. My move was scheduled for 6/28/2023, and Luis, a representative from the company, arrived at my house to assess my belongings. To my shock, he informed me that the cost would be $9,415.16, nearly double the original quote. At that point, I had no choice but to proceed, as I had already given notice to vacate.
Luis claimed he sent me an inventory, which I never received. He assured me that my belongings would arrive by 7/3/23. However, as of today, 9/28/2023, I am still without my possessions. I have been in constant contact with the company, but their responses have been frustratingly vague and unhelpful. They keep telling me they are 'looking for a driver,' 'a driver has been assigned,' or 'the driver is in transit.' It's been an agonizing waiting game.
I'm at a loss for what to do next. My family believes we have fallen victim to a scam, and the blame is unfairly falling on me for trusting this company. We've been sleeping on the floor, without our clothes and possessions. It's heart-wrenching to think that I paid for a service that hasn't been delivered.
I'm in desperate need of help. My household has descended into chaos due to this moving ordeal. I just want my belongings back and some semblance of normalcy restored to my life."
I hope someone reads this review and save themselves from the stress and anxiety caused by theis comapnay.
If I could give a -ve rating I would. DO NOT use this moving company if you really care about peace of mind. They would not come to pick your stuff on promised date they may come after 2-3 days also you will not get your stuff unit 2 months for sure. We moved from UT to VA last month Aug 13,2023 Today is Sept 18,2023 we still have not received our stuff. When you call their customer service they dont know any shit and asked to talk to carrier, The driver keeps giving us false date its been 1 and half month we have not received our stuff. This whole company is a SCAM. I have 2 kids you can imaging each day is pain without basic stuff but clearly they don't care.
I would suggest everyone DON'T DO any business with them.
Today is Sept 21, 2023 still not get our stuff.

WHAT A TERRiBlE EXPERIENCE with both AMERICA'S MOVING AND STORAGE /SAFEBOUND MOVING STORAGE
will also write a review on Safebound
This company is a broker who contracted with a very shady moving company Gin and Lou's Moving in Denver area. They picked up and stored and then contracted with another person to move it cross country. This mover was as frustrated as we were because of the lack of communication and outright lies from Gin and Lou's. Can't begin to write what a nightmare this has been. For a long time I thought we'd paid to have our stuff stolen. When it finally arrive 47 days after we'd requested delivery, several things we missing and it was obvious that they did not treat our belongings with care. We also got a bunch of someone else's stuff. We'd like to return it to the rightful owners, but Gin and Lou won't answer the phone or return calls.
Not only did your company scam me on the job price by increasing the cubic feet on pick up costing an additional $3200 dollars but on the day of the move it is very stressful and you send a new bill of lading via email....at that point everything is packed and I am forced to sign the BOL on my phone (which I did not read) my fault there I should have taken the 30 minutes to read the contract instead of just signing it. I was never told that by using a credit card for that payment I would incur an additional charge of $250 dollars. If I had known that I would have said wait right here and I will go, get cash....2nd valuable lesson learned from this awful experience with your company. Today I get a text message from 631-401-7385 saying he will be delivering my stuff tomorrow (Sunday) starting at 8 am. I received this text at 430 pm on a Saturday. Let's put aside the fact that my original contract with Brett from Americas Moving and storage stated that my stuff was moving to TBD-carrier storage. 3rd valuable lesson don't believe anyone at your company. I was also never told upon pick up that I would have a delivery date selected at random that I never requested because when I spoke to Brett at Americas Moving and storage, I told him I wanted to store my belongings for at least three months. So why would I ask...Then I get the call today that my stuff is coming starting at 8am tomorrow...mind you i am in an air b&b until the middle of October which is why i wanted my stuff stored for 3 months at the original conversation. Now I have my stuff coming and nowhere to put it I called America's Moving and Storage and US interstate and rail (not sure that these two companies exist or are one in the same. I talked to 3 different people who weren't even sure who they were working for because they each said at different times in our conversations that they were one in the same. So long story short I left my apartment in Roselle NJ on July 14th thinking my stuff was safe and sound and going to storage for at least 3 months now I am told that my delivery is going to be tomorrow, and it can't be changed without incurring an additional delivery fee based at on the cubic square feet. I was told by your agent that my best and cheapest option was to get my own storage unit now with 14 hrs. or so before start of delivery at 8am on Sunday morning I was told it was cash upon delivery or postal money order....now I don't know who has 2 thousand dollars just laying around for a delivery they weren't expecting until they contacted the moving and storage company in Oct for delivery and the banks and post offices are closed and I was told there would be no exceptions. So I scrambled to get a storage unit, notify both companies, sent text messages to the drive with a delivery address and contact info for delivery Which there has been no response. I have no idea where my stuff is, or in fact that it will be delivered tomorrow Sunday starting at 8am (had to arrange people to be there since I can't be there) I am scrambling to get cash together and waiting to hear back from someone!
This moving company should be brought up on criminal charges! Received 2/3 of my belongings most of them damaged or destroyed. They can’t find the rest of my belongings. Estimate went from $8000 to over $20000. They should be ashamed about the whole” Veteran Owned and Operated “ sales pitch. I am a veteran and I should get a Purple Heart for what this company did to me and my belongings. My life’s mission is now to warn people to steer clear of these thieves. Not to mention the $900 bucks cash that was stolen from me, I’m an idiot, on top of the other $20000. They need to be investigated and held accountable for the way they are fleecing people . Avoid them like the plague. Sorry I’m a little grumpy cause they lost my goddamn bed too! For now I’ll just try to glue what I can together. Oh shit, almost forgot their customer service is fucking useless. If you’re moving really research your movers, I should have and I would hate to see this bullshit happen to anyone else.
My name is Daniel Nelson and I approve this message. You kidding me , I have to select a star. I do it begrudgingly!
If I could give zero I would. They ripped me off most if my stuff is smashed. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. DO NOT HIRE THESE LOSERS. THEY BUY THERE GOOGLE RATING. THEY SUCK AND DONT CARE.
Bad customer service and they don’t care. I wish all these negative rd ire’s popped up at first however this was the moving company who originally responded and was very accommodating to my move. The quote given was in the middle of the other quotes received. I’m so disappointed
FRAUD!!!COMPANY WILL GIVE YOU AN ESTIMATE, GET YOUR 1/3 DOWN OF NONREFUNDABLE DEPOSIT AND then raise the price TRIPLE of what your estimate was when they call to confirm the move. They don't seem to care they are practicing extortion at a very stressful time for most families. Why should they? They made $1200 from me with a 15 min phone call. Their "bait and switch" is "we told you that was an estimate". How ridiculous to call the week of your move and TRIPLE the cost because you add in 10 more boxes. May their company cease to exist.
Absolute fraud of a company. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!! We have filed with the BBB, the State of Florida DA’s office for Broward County, and are pursuing legal counsel in Florida. BEWARE!!! DO NOT USE!!!
My move with these people was the worst experience ever. I moved from Texas to Nevada and they gave me a quote in February based on 400 cu ft. After I gave them an updated inventory list one week before my move, my move was updated to 530 cu ft. When the actual movers showed up, I decided to ship less than what was on the inventory list. Even though I shipped less, the movers said the total to move all my things was over 1,000 cu ft. I was on the phone with their customer service for hours. It just does not make sense that I was shipping less, and it was twice as much space. The movers wanted an additional $1800 cash to take all of my things and an additional $250 when they delivered. I ended up sending only 2/3 of my stuff, paying more than what was quoted and had to rent an SUV so I could get the balance of my stuff to my new home. Additionally, they movers never did an inventory of what was taken. When I got my items delivered, the driver did not have an inventory list he could reference to make sure I got all my stuff, and I ended up with someone else's box, and they got my box. When I called them, they gave me a website where I should file a claim for my missing items but the moving company never provided a bill of lading with important details about the move so I could never file a claim. I spoke with Amreica's Moving & Storage customer service again, and they told me they would call me back with all the information I needed to file a claim. They never called me. My advice is DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.
If I could give zero stars I would. We just experienced the worst move of our entire lives. My family and I just moved from Maryland to Texas and America's Moving & Storage assigned South Van lines to pack up and deliver our items. We ended up paying 3 times the original quoted amount and had to pay 80% up front. Because the truck was not big enough the movers had to come back the following day to pack up the truck. One of the movers ended up hitting the wall and broke through the dry wall. Only $200 was deducted from our balance even though we don't know how much the parts and labor will cost our previous landlord. Then we confirmed twice that everything would be delivered on 12/30/2022 as we flew to Houston on 12/29/2022. The movers never called so on the morning on 12/30 my husband and I move into our new home with our newborn and toddler just to learn that we would have zero furniture. The truck driver and company stopped answering my calls so I ended up learning through America's Moving & Storage that our belongings were in a trailer back in Maryland and that they wouldn't arrive for another week. We were forced pay for two cribs and an air mattress for my husband and I as we have no family or friends in the area. We also had to buy clothing from our children and a lot of food as all our clothes were on the truck along with a bin of pantry items we had bought in advance. On 12/30 we finally got a call that the driver would arrive on 1/6/2022 at 1pm. I cancelled a client I was scheduled to see so that there would not be any interruption. The driver called close to 2pm and said it would be another hour. He finally did not show up until 5:30pm so I lost out on money for absolutely no reason. Finally when he arrived and the movers unloaded the truck, we discovered 1 damaged piece of furniture. As it was so late and dark outside I helped the movers unpack large items but some of them had to leave so majority of the items were not unpacked. We paid for assembly of large furniture but did not have our bed set up or the dining room table, etc. Finally once everyone was gone I saw that my brand new office desk was completely broken to the point unrecognizable, my office chair had a broken leg, dining room table dented, toddler's chair cut, sectional stained with mud, hamper bent up, speakers destroyed, headboards scratched up, etc. I have never experienced anything like this. I called the driver many times and of course he is ignoring my calls. On top of everything we paid extra to move in on the 30th when we could have been back home or at a hotel comfortable instead of living like we were in a third world country with our two babies. We still have yet to be reimbursed and are missing several boxes. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!
DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. We contracted them to move our stuff, they contracted another company to move it, and we haven't seen our stuff in 6 WEEKS. They refuse to contact the movers who picked up our items, and they can't even give me a timeline. They said My stuff should be delivered within 21 business days of pickup, but that day has come and gone and they can't seem to even offer any solutions!
I'm so glad I found this site with the negative reviews about America's Moving and Storage.
I was on the phone for a quote for a long time. The quote was coming in at a very lowball rate. Red flag one. Alex, the salesperson artfully led me to sites with good reviews, and the pressure to hurry up and sign something began amping up. RED FLALG TWO. I was led to a web form asking for my bank account information for an ACH deposit of 50%, nonrefundable. My spidey senses said this is wrong so I forced myself off the phone. I called my bank. They said absolutely never give your banking information, there is 0 bank insurance when cash money is exchanged thru ACH. The money would be gone.
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANKING INFO.
