Hey there! I'm Dan McCaffrey, a lifelong dog admirer who didn't own his first pet until 2014. My zeal for dog training developed quickly as I wanted to enable dogs to reach their potential, thrive in a human setting, and provide their owners with the reassurance to enjoy them. I am a man who is proud of his work and seeks to build relationships with clients who now consider me as a good friend. I left banking in 2015 and attended the Michael Ellis School of Dog Trainers in Santa Rosa. This course helped me learn the principles of classical and operant behavior and the drives that motivate learning. I also learned to motivate and engage dogs using different training methods. When I returned to Jax Beach, I started Coastal K9, and it has been a non-stop journey since then. My family consists of my wife Brittany, who is a Commercial Banking National Director, my son Connor, a 3-year-old son Connor Chaos, and our dogs Kovi and Aska. I enjoy golf and family holidays in the north GA mountains when I am not at the beach or training dogs.
