About this business

Infant and Toddler Swim Lessons at Little Seals Swim School Michelle Auth & Heather Smith At our Swim School, infants and toddlers receive one-on-one film flotation training. The swim-float/swim sequence is taught to kids based on their developmental needs. This is repeated until they reach the poolside or steps. Fully dressed “Silly Swims” can be practiced once they have mastered the skill. After the lessons, students should take twice-monthly maintenance lessons (or semi-annual refresher classes). 8-12 months If your baby is not yet walking, our classes teach the rollback to float technique. This group is not yet walking and teaches kids how to turn from face down to face up, then floating to breathe and rest until help arrives. They can stay floating for longer periods when fully trained. There is a one-on-one session and four-day-a-week instructor class (Monday to Thursday). The lesson time is 8-10 minutes. Each condition is performance-based, not time-based. Your Instructor will see the first stages of physical fatigue and signal the end of the week. It takes 4-5 weeks to master rollback-to-float. The students need to attend each week per lesson. Lessons will be modified to each child as needed and progressed. Parents and guardians can watch from the pool deck chair.
