15 years ago, the Stepping Stone Center for Recovery was created in Jacksonville, FL. As the first center in Jacksonville to promote the 12 Steps for Recovery as it was designed by AA and Al-Anon, we've grown over the decades and now include a detox center on campus. At our addiction treatment facility, we watch people change their lives for the better every day. We've had the privilege of supporting over 5,000 people in their journey to healing. We aim to provide the best patient care and a secure setting. The reviews reveal an almost universal appreciation for Stepping Stone Center for Recovery. Contributors lauded the care with which the team treat clients, recognizing Tony Sartini and many others for their empathy and openness. Many former clients celebrate their sobriety's longevity and how grateful they are for Stepping Stone's role in that change. Equally, these points aren't the whole picture as one person recounted numerous problems they encountered while accessing treatment that were exacerbated by delays. Another suggested that the lack of accommodations available turned a sudden necessity into a pain point, which this customer believes is symptomatic of a more significant issue of respect for clients. These visitors then underscore how much more Stepping Stone needs to invest in being client-centered, even if its treatment is grounded in connections with the community that promote healing more effectively than the industry standard. The option to be alone would offer comfort to some, and small changes could make the first days in rehab more accessible.
