The Sisters of Loretto in 1915 set a promising goal of building a university for women that could enroll them and educate them. In fall 1915, the institution opened its doors with only five women, while the first class had only two women. Our main campus has changed from what it was in 1915, and so has Webster University, from 1983 to date. Diversity and inclusion seek more than just a specific output or an elaborate set of representations. It really requires a lively exchange, and advocate with many varied views and contributions from people of various backgrounds. Diversity and inclusion are essential to educational excellence. This is because Webster University is a global institution offering high-quality educational experiences that ready students for global citizenship.
