Dr. Rachel Pratt Study and professional Path Dr. Pratt earned her B.S. in animal biology and first M.S. in animal nutrition at the University of Florida. She earned a second M.S. and advanced to candidacy for her Ph.D. in genetics/proteomics at the University of California-Davis. She went to veterinary school at Ross University, did her clinical year at North Carolina State University, and graduated VMD. She then received an MBA in international business, summa cum laude at Louisiana State University- Shreveport, opened her own nonprofit merging human and animal medicine, and has since helped those less fortunate receive proper medical care. Her clinical interests include feline and canine internal medicine and surgery as well as “pocket pet” exotic species such as rodents, rabbits, reptiles, and birds. The only animals she will not see are primates. Dr. Pratt lives with her husband and two children. When she is not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Pratt enjoys spending time with her family, competing in triathlons, and traveling internationally.
