Maria Elena obtained her Medical School degree in Havana, Cuba in 1994. She specialized in Pediatrics and Intensive Care, and served as an intensivist in Neonatal Care Unit for several years. She immigrated to the U.S. in 2008 and joined Riverchase Dermatology. Maria later received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012 and became a registered nurse. In 2019, Mary Elena graduated with APRN and earned her Doctorate in Nursing in 2021 from Florida International University in Miami, Florida.
