Background My name is Janera Echevarria, and I come from New Jersey. However, I was partially raised in Puerto Rico. When I was 13 years old, my mother raised me as a single parent. At Santa Monica Academy, I took advanced classes from 4th to 12th grade and graduated with high honors. My high school was the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras Campus, and that is where I completely did my study until I graduated. I have a degree in psychology and also have my doctorate. I have been married to my husband for twenty-eight years, and we have a twenty-seven-year-old daughter who also graduated with a master's in mental health. My idea for A Great Life Services, Inc. came around because I wanted to help Hispanic immigrants who were having trouble adjusting to their new lives in the US. Our mission is to help families and individuals who need emotional support while facing challenges adapting to new cultures, languages, and environments. I felt called to offer this help. My company is built on strong values and ethics, such as respect and integration. Starting Point In 1992, I initiated my career in Orlando, Florida. By 1999, I had graduated with a master's degree in counseling and psychology. In 2005, I took my BCBA exam and qualified as a high school certified behavior analyst. Finally, in 2011, I got a license as a mental health counselor LMHC. My professional career began a decade before I moved to Florida when I was working with developmentally disabled and autistic children. This helped me learn how to deal with all types of people. Later, I started helping Hispanic families, and that is when I realized that most immigrants face a similar challenge. This realization pushed me to start A Great Life Services, Inc. Interestingly, my first office was my house. We later moved to Semoran Boulevard, then opened two more offices, and lastly opened our fourth office on Golden Road a year later. Today, we have nine offices on South Semoran Boulevard.
