Brownie's Septic & Plumbing

In May of 2020 I paid Brownie septic for a brand new drain field (over $10,000). I started having problems with the septic system backing up last year. After having Brownie out to evaluate the system they were quick to blame my family and I for using too much water and ruining their system. Although our water use wasn't crazy, I chastised my wife and kids for using too much water and we reduced our water use. We continued having septic system problems eventually resulting in partial flooding of the first floor. I suspected something was wrong with the drain field which normally last 20-30 years. Left with no option I decided to pony up the $13,000 to replace it. The new septic company discovered two major problems with the existing drain field. The biggest problem was that Brownie used low profile chambers. Per the new septic company, the low profile chambers were absolutely not supposed to be used in my situation and were probably utilized to save money. The next issue is that Brownie didn't have the square feet of chambers that were listed on the permit or invoice. The current septic company said that this could only happen if, one, Brownie paid off the inspector to overlook it, or they removed some of the chambers after the inspector left. Either way, I got completely screwed and Brownie's negligence cost me multiple septic tank pump outs, a flooded house, major family stress, and eventually an additional $13,000 for a new drain field. What a terrible company and a bunch of crooks. Please let my painful and expensive experience be a huge red flag for the next unknowing consumer. Avoid Brownies septic company at all cost!!!!!
