Three women who saw their clients in court alone founded OCJ because they thought they could do more. They found public interest law work in rural communities and wanted to make a difference in the city where they lived. They listened to private lawyers turn these clients down when they could not afford them and found no other organization that could take them. The only organization they found that could take their clients was the one they also found closing their doors. We realized there had to be a better way, and so OCJ was born. We consulted with a group of community lawyers who were willing to sit on our board and wanted to build a system for keeping our doors open even when funding is tight. Our vision is to create a model that will encourage other lawyers to do the same thing. We want to help close the Florida justice gap, and we need people like you to help us.

The reviews are very favorable, mentioning several attorneys and their positive qualities. Gisselle Martinez received a commendation for personally handling cases and helping a person's son attain their residency status. People were impressed with Melissa and Biller's kindness and guidance during an immigration process that commenced in 2019 and culminated in late 2021. COVID-19 delayed legal paperwork, but the law office was able to keep customers informed about important changes. For friendly assistance and excellent service, please visit any of the offices.
