ABS was founded in 2002 by world-class dancer and choreographer Paula Nunez so that ABS can bring the best dance education to the community of Tampa Bay and its surrounding areas including Orlando and Miami. ABS has been creating professional dancers for 20 years where they have succeeded to gain access to modern and contemporary ballet techniques. Some of our students have appeared in leading ballet companies worldwide. They began working with dancers in 2002. ABS’s goal is to teach students everything about ballet, from the basics, artistry and expression, to building on these techniques to include modern and contemporary features. Paula adapted ballet technique to include contemporary and modern works, thus students after 20 years have a right and enriched understanding of this wonderful art. With dance, students can learn to focus and discipline, and they can learn to practice, practice, practice! ABS understands that dance requires diligence and hard work, and that the students will greatly benefit from this experience that will guide them through life.
