Buddy Brew Coffee

Buddy Brew is a specialty coffee brand in Tampa Bay, offering one-of-a-kind coffee that has been roasted. Our family-owned business has grown to eight bases, including the headquarters on Kennedy Boulevard. We work with farmers to find the best beans, sourcing them fairly and sustainably. Each batch is roasted individually to bring out the flavor of the beans. Our baristas make espresso and drip coffee on cutting-edge equipment. Our avocado toast is made from sourdough and topped with poached eggs and capsicum oil. Fresh pastries, vegan donuts, sandwiches, herbal teas, and craft beers are also available. Dave Ward and Susan Ward created Buddy Brew Coffee, meeting in Tampa and realizing there was no fresh, roasted coffee. We searched for the best cup by visiting coffee farms in Brazil and Peru. We began to roast in a garage more than a decade ago and named our dog Buddy. Buddy's packets of freshly-roasted coffee were an online success. We didn't like basic coffee. Our motto and mission, "Brew good," began at our roastery on Kennedy Boulevard. "Do Good." We work directly with smallholders and pay them fairly to living highly. We also opened eight cafes, an iced coffee line, and a national distribution system. So much has changed; we're just getting started.
