Crab Devil

Crab Devil, LLC is a Tampa-based multidisciplinary art collective. Its members include designers, curators, musicians, writers, developers, brewers, philosophers, fabricators, and artists. The first cohort is rooted in a lineage with Tempus Projects and other beloved Tampa art collectives such as Cunsthaus LiveWork Studios Experimental Skeleton etc. Crab Devil was conceived as a means to unite an array of creatives and feature a rotating array of artists in a centralized location. Crab Devil believes that people thrive when they are able to work creatively. Our organization is dedicated to diversity, inclusivity, and equality in all facets of existence. We will speak to and tackle economic and social concerns in our society through collaborative efforts and job creation. Tempus Projects is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the development and sharing of local, national, and international established artists' work. Artists' work is presented through exhibitions, residencies, and other events to engage the Tampa Bay Community. We hope to establish an active and fluid space where arts companies and other organizations collaborate with artists to maintain and promote a diverse, creative, and resilient arts community. Tempus Residency Residents have the opportunity to share their practice in Tampa galleries while also working with Crab Devil's artists and fabricators to develop immersive settings. Tempus Projects' relocation to Crab Devil Campus serves as a viable connection between two important organizations. This is an essential component of the residency program and an essential aspect of Crab Devil Campus operations for a skilled artist pool.
