Nancy founded Darin Career Services in 1984, based on her experience writing resumes for her former colleagues. Earlier in her career, she updated a how-to-write-a-resume book published by Arco Publishing Company, as a copy editor for The American Institute of Physics (publisher of journals in physics and other sciences), Science Writer at Scholastic Magazines (publisher of magazines that are used in classrooms), and Acquisitions Editor at The William C. Brown Publishing Company (publisher of textbooks). As a freelancer, she had articles published in The St. Petersburg Times, Grolier's Yearbook, and Data Bus. Remaining in touch with our past clients including some who came first to us back in the 1980's. After receiving a client's resume, Nancy will update it over the years as the client progresses through their career (or makes changes to their career), accompanying them on their journey. Nancy has learned how to make employers' jobs easier by listening to her clients in the process of creating their resumes, as well as in regular updates and follow-up feedback conversations.
