About this business

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Dallas carries everything you need for sports, the outdoors, and exercise. Our sales team can help you select the right baseball glove, adjust your bike, find the proper golf clubs, and put together fishing gear. Choose from an array of sports equipment, apparel, and accessories, such as bikes, camping gear, and kayaks. We are committed to offering the best prices on our website and free pickup at our DALLAS store. DICK'S Sporting Goods was founded in 1948 by Dick Stack. As an 18-year-old, Dick Stack worked in a Binghamton Army Surplus Store. Dick was a fisherman, and the owner of the store asked him to craft a list of fishing items that would be needed to start a business. After he had an idea, the owner called him a stupid kid who did not know anything. Dick was so mad that he left the job. His grandmother had been one of his best friends growing up, so he told her the story. She asked him how much it would cost to create his shop. He estimated that it would be $300. She gave him $300 from her cookies jar, which was a place where she had been saving money. She then told him to "do it yourself." She gave the money to Dick, who then used it to set up a bait and tackle shop in Binghamton. Dick's Sporting Goods began to grow in the 1970s with the expansion of its product range. This business diversification continued, getting us to where we are today.

Many reviewers praise the knowledgeable and helpful staff including Jake, Greyson, Gabe, Andre, Elah and Store Manager Steve. These employees have earned compliments for their professional and friendly demeanor, and some customers explicitly mention staff members who went above and beyond to ensure they had a great shopping experience. One user's bike experience stands out where Greyson provided exemplary and efficient customer service and the store is noticing and supporting the customer needs. These customer focused staff interactions set an outstanding customer experience tone that isn't common practice in many customer service roles. Clean, which shows cleanliness is a part of the store and the exercises necessary in the store. The first and second floors in the store demonstrate that, with a big plus being that it isn't something different from other stores. The store also provides games for people in the family to have fun while shopping, a big issue is that most customers are happy with it. Truely the shoppers are happy with the stores features and are happy to shop there.
