The ARTS At Marks Garage has served as a nonprofit artist-run community arts center in Downtown Honolulu since 2001, near Chinatown. We showcase 12 multidisciplinary shows each year. We also host over 150 lectures, performances, screenings and workshops.
Interesting tidbit: ARTS is an abbreviation for Art Retail Theatre Space, which is ARTS. We are an incubator where performing and visual artists collaborate. We run cultural workshops and creative classes for kids and adults. We've also been a key sponsor in downtown and Chinatown’s revival through community engagement, street festivals. beautification, neighborhoods maps, First Friday Honolulu.
We have operated for over 20 years through funds raised from programming, art shows, licenses, and generous donations from our donors, grantors, and partners.
