Vocational Management Consultants, Inc. (VMC) is proud to celebrate its 25th Anniversary this year! This anniversary is our time to come together as employees and be recognized as pioneers in the field vocational rehabilitation. We stay true to our roots of helping injured Hawai'i workers. We continue to help each other navigate the changing world we are working in. VMC has grown from a start-up company since 1995 to a big contributor to the community. VMC envisions a future where workers Find It, Plan It, Own It, and Do It. Every year, VMC recognizes the efforts of our clients to reach their desired outcomes through their Kintsuji. Kintsuji is a Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. The cracks that are left in broken pottery represent the individual's imperfections and flaws; by filling these cracks with gold, the individual's symbolic meaning of "was" is changed to a stronger and beautiful meaning. In the past 25 years, the VMC team has contributed to the art we together created with our Clients. The team has faced the following challenges: the 2008 Financial Crisis events surrounding the September 11th attacks and COVID-19's recent impact on our economic and labor markets. We thank our Clients, team members, family members, friends, and colleagues for their support throughout our practice. Especially in these uncertain times, thank you.
