Larry's Barber College II

Larry’s Barber College II was founded by Larry E. Roberts, Jr., a well-known barber born of Larry E. Roberts Sr. and Darlene Roberts on May 8, 1973. Larry's journey began when he began cutting his hair in his parent's basement at the age of 13 years. Larry's customers started to increase, and he asked his friend to help him shave. His mother and sister, Tramaine, Tramaine, also started booking Larry's clients. Larry graduated with a barber's degree, and he opened Larry's Barber Shop in Matteson at 18 years of age. His customers were attracted to his unique ideas and skills. Larry used the profits made at the barbershop to fund the facility and make it a professional environment. Larry loves humanity; thus, he always advises them to be the best version of themselves. He later relocated his barbershop to the south side of Chicago to serve the clients better and make the services accessible to all. Larry’s barbershop grew so big that he started looking for other opportunities to expand and grow other services. Larry opened multiple barbershops, with the largest being in the Chicago barber college, his first in 2004. Larry is on a mission to change the barber industry by offering a professional environment that provides the client with the best services and training. He later opened two other barber colleges in 2012 and 2014. In 2010, Larry also made history by opening the first barber college in the Cook County Department of Correctional (Larry's Barber College II, n.d.). The school was the first and shocked many people at that time. Data Foundation Inc. was founded by Larry to financial and other resources to the Jail and other colleges. Also, Larry has other products such as Larry's Blister Brushes and Larry's Bump therapy. He made a DVD known as Cutting Hair with Larry. Larry also published Suicide is Not the Answer in 2015, a piercing memoir that reveals his harrowing story of surviving child molestation and being a womanizer. Along the way, Larry got into three marriages before ending up in Jail. Larry Roberts, Jr., is a global icon in music as a keyboardist and percussionist. He has performed with the best music bands and musicians, including Ricky Dillard and New Generation, Kirk Franklin, Stephanie Mills, and 1 Way. He was also the lead percussionist in the play The Colour Purple on Broadway, which was a success (Larry's Barber College II, n.d.). Program Outline The program takes about 1500 hours, a well-balanced ratio for practical, classroom and clinical training. Curriculum The course has subjects like History of Barbering, Professional Image, Science, Anatomy, Chemistry, and other related subjects. This barbershop has some loyal clients. The shop is a good meeting point with good environment and good barber skills. Customers keep on coming because of great, fast services, good memory of patrons, teaching, and the friendly environment makes customers keep coming time and again. It's like family. Customers enjoys God's presence and everyone in the shop is God Fearing like the clients have noted. The customers have taken note and many Institute plans to come back. These show that customers love the shop and its services, they even fail to remember what else they needed in the shop to improve themselves.
