Palette & Chisel Art Academy

Palette & Chisel Art Academy (PCA) is the Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts' new name. The PCA promotes visual art's growth, provides a space for serious artists, and enhances the community through art appreciation programs, practical art education, and exhibitions. Over 120 members showed interest in a recent email survey. The PCA has 115+ years of history, and we have seen it all. Picasso, Hopper, the front page of the Tribune - we have seen the famous and the less-so. PCA is as colorful as its walls with bullet holes from its days as the Bughouse. A newsletter edition focused on our past was produced. The front and back covers present an organized summary, while the centerfold presents the hilarious and awkward moments that only a few artists understand.

Palette & Chisel has received overwhelmingly positive reviews. Customers praised the wonderful community and classes. The building, a 17th-century mansion in Chicago's heart, also drew acclaim. The residence, now an artist studio and school, retains its historical charm over the years. There are permanent crafts to see, be they contemporary paintings or a lush backyard. Many visitors believed in this hidden gem in the city. One found it a jewel for the local art scene and could not wait for classes with Andy. Another stated that frequent workshops and assistant teachers ensured that residents never felt excluded or unhelpful. Visitors always say that it's a great place to be creative, and they're not wrong. There is a lot to do and learn in these rooms and over time. All of the sources agree that it was their creative home and that if you adore art, this would probably be your favorite city corner.
