Clear Brackets
Ceramic brackets, also known as aesthetic brackets or clear brackets, function similarly to metal brackets. With ceramic brackets, you can have a less visible treatment experience, as they are typically tooth-colored or white. Ceramic brackets are an excellent aesthetic alternative to aligners, invisible brackets, or metal braces:
Clear Ceramic Braces
Clear ceramic braces, generally made of a translucent polycrystalline alumina, are much less noticeable than metal braces despite their pronounced white ligatures (tiny rubber bands). Also, they don't appear completely clear as they can stain. Ceramic brackets are more fragile and can create friction, which may also increase treatment time. And the ceramic brackets are larger than their metal counterparts, so we sometimes use them on lower teeth on brief cases.
