Gallery 924 is powered by Indy Arts Council which is a catalyst for the growth of the arts in central Indiana. Its goal is to ensure a dynamic and inspired space for artistic expression that enriches the lives of the community. Indy Arts Council depends on and advocates for municipal funding as a basic element for a thriving arts ecosystem and encourages funding innovation by actively seeking and backing new ideas and programs that help the region, its artists, and organizations better. It also fosters connections among audiences, artists, businesses, and foundations and arts and cultural organizations to increase and explore the region's creativity. Indy Arts Council also owns and operates two exhibition and performance venues: Gallery 924 at 924 N Pennsylvania St, and the Indianapolis Artsgarden, stepped atop the bustling intersection of Washington and Illinois streets in downtown Indianapolis. The Indy Arts Guide provides information about thousands of performances and exhibitions in central Indiana.

The art gallery has many local artists and is a great place to view and buy local art. Reviewers appreciate the artwork, and some would like to see more interactive displays or exhibits for children.
