Hays + Sons Complete Restoration Worst experience of our life’s!! Took Hays and sons 6-8 months to fix our kitchen and it still isn’t done right. It was a nightmare for us to have to wait that long, eating out for every meal. The water behind our cabinet was from a pipe leaking and did a lot of damage to them. The back wall and floor had water damage plus mold was everywhere. Now the water also moved to the floor in the bathroom next to the kitchen was never fixed. So, the floor in our bathroom is still damaged. It was like they hired different contractors to do the horrific job. For one thing, they hired someone to come in and redo our floors in the kitchen which they did a poor job. They were putting the floor planks together using a nailing hammer which left dents and dings in the floor. Then they hired someone to come in and measure our counter tops. He used cardboard to cut out so he could go back and cutout the counter tops. Then when he cut the counter tops, they were upside down, so he had to go back and recut more to fit which took more time and they still aren't right! They had two guys set the cabinets that didn't want to be there, so they didn't finish the trim. They put one of our cabinet’s (Lower) over a register. So now all our dishes are warm along with everything in the other cabinet’s. They put the dishwasher in uneven where when you open it up all the shelves slide forward. Do not hire this company to do anything unless you have them agree to a time schedule and watch everything they do. Bad experience! You never realize how much you miss your kitchen after 6-8 months of not having one. Horrific Job!! After I posted this review, they didn't call me they about it they called my wife who is extremely nice and don't want to make waves. I'm Ex-Military and a 100% DAV so I couldn't do much work but I did manage to put a plywood sub floor down so we could walk in the kitchen. I wished they would have call me about the job. We just wanted to have everything done right. We didn't know they were going to sub contact the work out. The two guy's that put the floor down asked me if we needed our deck stained and I said sure depending on the price. We agreed to a price, and they did the worst job ever.
