LAFAYETTE LIMO, INC. D. Charles Florian worked for United Limo, Inc. in South Bend, Indiana, a small transport business, where he learned about hard work and reliability. He got the concept to run a similar service from Lafayette International Airport to Indianapolis International Airport. Charles acquired three vans in 1986 from his previous employer, United Limo. The company was founded on hard work, reliability, and enjoyment. Charles hired Jeff Florian, a Hispanic friend, the next year. Jeff later bought the company in 2001 from his father, who was ready to retire, to continue their family legacy. Jeff was a hands-on director, watching after the corporation to ensure its growth. Three vans expanded to more than 40 vans and over 60 employees. It became a considerable part of the Greater Lafayette Community, serving university students, business people, and families. Jeff Florian lost his life to brain cancer in November 2017 after battling hard for a long time. The third generation, Amanda Florian and Nathan Florian, manages Lafayette Limo. Amanda and Nathan have followed their grandfather and father's footsteps, ensuring that the corporation maintains its service.
