Lynn Ward graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Prelaw with Honors in 1987 from Pensacola Christian College and earned her Juris Doctorate from Washburn University School of Law in 1990. She is also a trained domestic mediator and was among the first Kansas lawyers trained to handle divorces utilizing collaborative law. She has argued family law appeals before both the Kansas Court of Appeals and the Kansas Supreme Court. Lynn has also tried a criminal jury trial in federal court and the Kansas Court of Appeals. She has written briefs and argued at the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, an entity that promotes excellence and professionalism in family law. In 2005, Lynn Ward founded Ward Law LLC. The firm emphasizes family law issues, including divorce, child custody, parenting time, paternity, adoption, and child-in-need-of-care cases.
