Art Fact Sheet for LeMieux Galleries: Aron Belka (American, b. 1974) hails from Salt Lake City. Now, he calls New Orleans home. LeMieux Galleries has showcased his art. His works have also appeared in the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans. Belka won the Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Grand Prize during SCOPE Miami in 2015. He received a solo show during SCOPE New York and collaborated with Rosario Dawson, an actress, and social activist. In 2016, Belka received the People's Choice 2D Prize at ArtFields and the 2017 Juror's Choice Award at the Huntsville Museum of Art's Red Clay Survey in 2020. He held a solo show at Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art, Georgia in 2018. In 2021, he bagged the Cohn-GNOF-NOLA Artist Award. He has been a resident at Joan Mitchell Center, New Orleans, as well as the Cill Rialaig Project Ballinskelligs. In 2022, LeMieux Galleries will exhibit his works from his residency in Ireland.
