So, one of the historical gardens in Boston is Berkeley Community Garden in South End, situated in East Berkley Street, between the intersections of Tremont Street, & Shawmut Avenue. Established in the mid-1970s, the garden has 150 plots (61). The City of Boston handed over ownership of Berkeley Gardens to the South End/Lower Roxbury Open Space Land Trust in 1992. Including BCG, there were 18 spaces, all managed by a volunteer-led non-profit committed to preserving and expanding open space in the South End. In the end, Berkeley Gardens and Peters Park were demolished, possibly to create housing or widen East Berkeley Street into a boulevard. (61). It is widely believed that the BCG site was torn down so that a highway could be constructed. In fact, Melania Cass Blvd. is the planned location of the highway, but it was never constructed; a street. Berkeley Gardens block was left in ruins, the gardens destroyed, and no housing built (61). There are the remnants of the BCG as the entire city redevelopedthenReturnBerkeley Community Garden 3

Reviews show that people are in agreement on the extreme delightfulness of the gardens. It is inferred gardens are a center of beauty with vibrant flowers and veggies that are vibrant and very well managed. Many visitors describe it as a peaceful escape from the city although it is in the midst of a populated area. The downside is that the park is now closed, and visitors need a gardener to enter the garden as vandals made the lock gate. The emphasis on maintenance is seen, and the team of gardeners devoted is tremenedous. People who want to destress and have an enjoyable time can be advised to visit gardens and have a beautiful moment.
