WellSense is by far the worst insurance company I've ever had to deal with. They're particularly terrible in the prescriptions and pharmacy area. I have been waiting 3.5 months, paying out if pocket for a medication I've been on for 6.5 years. Additionally, they don't only refuse to pay for medication (I'm not talking about controlled substances either) until 30 days, but they have refused to pay for it until well after the 30 day supply ran out. This past April, my blood pressure medication was due to be filled April 18th. Wellsense(or as I call it "death sentence ") would not play for it until May 26th. No letter in the mail giving reasons why, or warning. They wait until you find out from the pharmacy when you have a day or 2 left of your medication. They don't only do this to their adult customers but children as well. I have an excellent primary care physician and am currently working on switching to a different insurance plan that my doctor accepts because Wellsense is a joke.
