Wellness in Motion has touched every aspect of my life. From a young age, I've lived in motion. I drummed with a band in grade school, then learned to type my papers quickly and accurately in high school. I carried heavy plates and ran through the restaurant. I learned to swing a hammer and scale a ladder for summer jobs. I also ran hundreds and hundreds of miles during marathon training. Finally, I learned to keep my stone rolling as I tried to keep up with my fun-loving and energetic son.
I hope, however, that the adage "a rolling stone gathers no moss" is a joke. It is deceiving on some level that people expect me to believe that there are advantages to becoming an inert, moss-covered lump on the ground. "Moss" is something I have never been able to grow. I have, however, accumulated my fair share of bumps, bruises, strains, sprains, and fractures. Unfortunately, a beating from life and the human body is not conducive to a happy existence.
Given that my personal attitude to life involves not taking no for an answer, the doctors do not know more could have been wrong. My complaints about the aches and pains were met with suggestions to take it easy and that if something hurt, I shouldn't do it.
Changing my view on my body and my habits was a paradigm shift that opened my eyes to a new way of living, not just getting by. My journey started when I questioned the accepted responses from the healthcare professionals I had seen and embarked on a long and challenging path that led me to open Wellness in Motion, a clinic that assists others in finding their passions while also maintaining the momentum required to keep doing what they do.

The absolute BEST treatment center I have ever been to. Excellent physical therapy and life-changing sports massages. I wish I had found out about this place years ago. I saw Dr. Kayla Serowik and Dr. Christine Frechette for physical therapy, and both of them were amazing. Not only did they show me the exercise to treat my issues, they also helped educate me on what I could do to prevent future injuries. On top of that, they were both incredibly patient and encouraging - therapeutic on multiple levels!
I also get sports massages from Michelle Herrmann, and this has been a game changer. I have gone to a wide variety of skilled massage therapists (sports, deep tissue, Thai, etc.), and Michelle is the best, by far. Her massages are so healing and have helped my performance so much, as well as stave off potential injuries!
Before going to Wellness in Motion, I really struggled to progress in any sport because I got injured so often. Now, with the amazing combination of physical therapy and sports massages, my body is healthier and stronger than it has been in over 20 years! Incredibly grateful for this place.
Several of my friends have gone here as well, all with similar experiences. Most of them have gone to see Lauren Lozier, who is also amazing!
