Baltimore School for the Arts is considered one of the top five public high schools dedicated to performing arts. Our curriculum combines a rigorous college preparatory program with pre-professional training in dance, film, music, stage design, production, and theatre. Our students spend four hours each day in art classes taught by working professionals and another four in academic classes. In short, they are artists. They have learned the skill of collaboration, time management, and discipline. The reward is evident - our high school graduation rate is nearly 100 percent, while six-year college graduation rate is 81 percent, significantly above the national average. You can see our alumni on stage in Broadway plays and on TV, and in major galleries. Others work as doctors and lawyers in respected hospitals and firms. Some start their businesses, and some analyze stocks on Wall Street.
