About this business

Founder’s Story Amy Hornberger was already an established teacher at several Baltimore satellite sites for a D.C.-based studio in 2000. A group of parents begged Amy Hornberger to open her own studio one day. We love you and our children love you. But we do not love the (XYZ) studio. Start your own. “We promise to come. So it started. On September 11, 2001, little girls, their mothers, and Ms. Amy gathered in her home, despite all the terrible events that day. Moms were desperate to have their children away from the television for even an hour. They knew that lives had been forever altered. While moms wept in front of the TV in the living area, the girls danced in the small mirror studio upstairs. For one hour, it was all good and sweet. Even if only for an hour, dancing always improves your mood. As the studio expanded, it moved into a Roland Park church and then to Falls Road. Dance for All Baltimore School of Dance offers Ballet, pointe ballet, modern, contemporary dance, jazz, hip hop, tap, Musical Theatre, Creative Movement, and more. Our boutique-style dance studio has air conditioning, mirrored full-length walls, portable and wall-mounted barres, and a Marley sprung dance floor. We offer classes at all levels: from beginner to recreational and pre-professional, for ages 2 to adult. Internships and scholarships are available in Impetus Dance Company, a professional dance company. Mission
