ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

The Goya Contemporary Gallery & Goya-Girl Press have conserved and presented artists and cultures for 25 years. We design, publish, and distribute unique, historically significant books and scholarship about visionaries we consider the true truthtellers.   Goya Contemporary Gallery & Goya-Girl Press preserves artists’ visions with historical context and authentic voices, designs, and materials. The Gallery concentrates on Post War and Contemporary Art in primary and secondary markets where inspiration and value coincide. The Gallery and Goya-Girl Press also maintain an active exhibit schedule and a substantial archive of fine art printed editions. It participates in international fairs and engages universities to cultivate, educate, and connect artists and collectors with museums, communities, connoisseurs, and researchers. Opportunities for artists are a priority for Goya Contemporary Gallery. Because growing artists are more important than established artists, the Gallery is always searching for new talent (Goya-Girl Press, 2022). Various projects promote sustainability and legacy. The museum exhibitions at the heart of our projects often appear as the most significant shows ever devoted to an artist, like our production of Joyce J. Scott's MacArthur Fellow Museum retrospective; the 45-year survey of American Abstract Geometric Painter Timothy App at the Katzen Museum in DC (Breslin, 2022); Sonya's Wadsworth Atheneum exhibit featuring performances and programming involving Dr. A'lelia Bundles, foremost scholar and Walker descendant, and Sonya Clark exhibitions at The Fabric Workshop, Wadsworth Atheneum, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Our other recent exhibits also include Soledad Salme, Sanford Biggers, and Louise Fishman. Fanny Sanin is also included. Goya Editions friends cash in fiction with new prints from major artists Sam Gilliam and Christian Marclay.   Goya works in secrecy with high-profile musicians and actors to quietly place art at the top museums and private collections around the globe without drawing attention to artists' identities or collection owners. Goya Contemporary Gallery preserves the value of art, cultural heritage, and the ecology of artists' creation. Goya's exemplary ethics and community service have consistently placed the Gallery in the most important international dialogues bringing out Baltimore's greater cultural importance in the most important conversations of our time (Goya-Girl Press, 2022).
