Design Studio 6

Design Studio 6 is a company owned by April McGee Flournoy, the studio principal. The company is a new 3,800 sq.ft. interior design studio in Detroit's Bagley & Fitzgerald neighborhood. Charles McGee, her father, used to have an art studio there for over 41 years. The Charles McGee community commons area was named by Marygrove College in 2017, honoring him. The metal sculpture, which Charles McGee designed, was located on Wyoming and West McNichols, and it was then dedicated to the neighborhood creatives to promote collaboration, participation, and unity. DS6 offers a comprehensive interior design service for commercial and residential projects. Its location is on 6 Mile, in the Bagley and Fitzgerald neighborhood of Northwest Detroit. Our design services and workshops are available for Detroit local communities, contractors, interior designers, and architects in the metropolitan area. Creative entrepreneurs and residents can also access these services. DS6 specializes in interior design, renovation, project management, kitchen, and bathroom design. We also offer DIY workshops, Design + Technology programs, and courses for teens and adults in inner cities.
