About this business
Daas - Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences, Rev. Jim Holley, Ph.D., visioned and desired to have an educational facility for children in Detroit. They chose to serve Kindergarten to Eighth graders in metro Detroit’s downtown at Daas. Currently, Daas operates under Oakland University’s charter. More than 1000 students in metropolitan Detroit call Daas home. We consider ourselves as Leveled Education Academies with opportunities for Detroit residents. It includes three schools with unique programs that serve students based on their academic levels: the lower elementary school on the south side (Kindergarten and 1st grade), the upper elementary school on the north side (2nd through 5th grades), and the middle school (6th through 8).
