Our Approach At Wright Academy of Arts and Science, our approach to whole-child education combines academic excellence with extracurricular and socio-emotional services that are tailored to the needs of each child. The approach is informed by our commitment to educating, empowering and supporting every student in Detroit every day. Our Promise With our approach, students will be prepared to excel in any city or nation in the world. Succeeding in any city or nation in the world requires innovativeness, commitment, and constant growth. We are proud to have the largest public school system in Michigan, with seven board members elected locally and Dr. Nikolai Vitti as the superintendent. Although transitioning to a different school can be challenging, we understand that it is necessary in some situations. However, advocacy for the proper transition of a student from one level to another is our responsibility. Change requires growth and sometimes a little discomfort. Our need to change doesn't make us less. But when a child is transferred from one level to another, it takes time to adapt to the new environment. At Wright Academy, we have adopted this student-first approach to ensure we do what we can to make transitions successful. Our Beliefs
