Coki Reardon, a local artist, meticulously designed her handmade jewelry. Coki is a Kansas Citian who spent over 30 years in Kansas before moving to Paris to become a jewelry and metalsmith apprentice in the 90s. In 2015, she returned to America with her French-inspired craft. Coki found a business partner in a longtime friend, Karen Burton. Together, they opened a shop in the historic KC Crossroads Art District, which they named Coki Bijoux. This shop brings to mind European narrow, cobbled streets. Its entrance, located in the west alleyway of the Bauer Building, is roomy. The most exciting part of the shop is that the front area serves as both a showroom and a workshop. The place where most of the jewelry design and creation happens, the workshop, is hidden in the back. Coki, Karen, and their talented employees Audrey, Paula, and Rachel spend countless hours creating and updating jewelry to keep it fashionable and high quality. Coki's style is elegant, timeless, and glamorous. She designs jewelry for everyday wear but also includes the unique statement pieces. Coki collaborates with clients to create custom pieces, including wedding and engagement sets. In addition to these, she creates gifts for any occasion. Kansas City residents have shown overwhelming support for Coki Bijoux since its inception. She has been able to showcase her work numerous times at the renowned West 18th Street Fashion Shows. Right after the show, Coki, Karen, and their fantastic team can be found in the 18th Street Alley Shops, a charming shopping area located west of the Bauer Building at 115 West 18th Street Kansas City, MO.
