Founded by Jim Leedy in 1985, the Leedy-Voulkos Art Center in Kansas City was created to build a vital and perpetual art community. The center's mission is to display high-caliber art by Kansas City's artists, such as sculptors and ceramicists, alongside photographers and printmakers. We have also shared professional resources and assisted artists in need during First Friday openings for 35 years. Our gallery hosts exceptional shows by international, regional, and national artists. Still, our core vision is to encourage students and local artists to the advantage of Kansas City's creative talent.
