McKinney Law Group LLC helps individuals and companies resolve immigration-related legal issues. I enjoy collaborating with people from various cultural backgrounds and industries. I grew up in Kansas City and completed my law degree at the University of Missouri Law School in 2008. In 2010, I started this firm, which I formed after a brief stint with a small law office in Lee's Summit, Missouri. I relocated when the opportunity arose and have been located in East Brookside since the spring of 2020.
Overview of K-1 Visa Process
The K-1 Visa is designed for foreign nationals planning to marry a U.S. Citizen within 90 days of entering the U.S. The process starts when a U.S. Citizen files Form I-129F with the USCIS. If the petition is approved, it is sent to the National Visa Center and then to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in the foreign national's home country.
