You will learn how to train your dog in a way that makes the Dogs' Spot a desirable behavior rather than unintentionally encouraging undesirable behaviors. The Dogs' Spot is the central theme of all the courses. Our offerings include small classes and private consultations, as well as Canine Good Citizen evaluations and training, Dog Agility classes, Therapy Dog Preparation, Flyball, and Reactive Dog Classes. Consideration and respect should be the norm for all interactions between two living creatures. We prefer the term "minding p's & q's" or "minding manners." All classes aim to strengthen the link between owner and dog. This class will help a pet owner and his or her dog form a partnership by using reward-based techniques to teach basic commands in Family Manners. The Doggy Do-Right class will help you form a solid, trusting, and respectful relationship with your dog. During the six weeks, you will be instructed on how to train your dog by modeling behaviors. You will be taught how to catch a behavior, lure a specific behavior, add a cue, reward, and then mark a signal.
