Lowe Automotive was established in 1968 by Norman & Hazel Lowe. They became Motorcraft Distributors in St Louis MO in 1969. Jeff Lowe, their son, expanded the company to Bloomington IL in 1986. In 1986, MAP Bloomington started shipping to customers in Northern Illinois & Wisconsin through UPS. The business grew, and they served more customers. Jeff Lowe was made the president of Lowe Automotive Whse in 1996 after Norman Lowe & MAP Automotive Whse passed on. In 1997, MAP Automotive expanded its operations in Butler WI to serve customers in Wisconsin efficiently. In 2002, MAP Automotive purchased Berry Tire's auto part distribution division to expand its market, and they started operating a Blue Island IL location. Jeff has recently continued to provide exceptional service to all customers, as well as a variety of auto parts products that have become very popular among Lowe & MAP's customers. Lowe Automotive bought Eagle Automotive, Jefferson County A/P. Pevely Auto A/P. SEMO Automotive and South County A/P. In 2007, they acquired three Jobber Stores and an additional 3 warehouses.
