My daughter went there to get a nail fixed and literally left in tears because Theresa was beyond rude to her. My daughter just had her nails done there two weeks ago by Theresa and wrote down the color. Theresa denies doing her nails and insists they don’t have that color. She even refuses to even look for it. Then she puts on a different color that doesn’t match. My daughter asked her to put another color on top to try and better match the color to which Theresa responds, “I’m not putting any more color on you”. Then she fails to put a top coat on at all. She was rude, unprofessional and embarrassed my daughter with the way she talked to her. We will never be back and I’ll be sure to tell my friends, and any stranger I run into on the street to save their money for literally any other nail salon in a 50 mile radius! Ridiculous!!
I came here to get a liquid gel manicure, only to be rushed, and for the nail tech Amanda to not apply the liquid gel right and skip steps so I could be in an out within 35 minutes. I had to go out of town for a family emergency, which I communicated with the UrbanChic rep over the phone as well as texted (as they requested). I could not reach out to them sooner as I was out of state for a few weeks for a Hospital family emergency. I came back and reached out to UrbanChic as soon as I can, in hopes to get help, and just to talk to a manager about this situation. I paid full price and I tipped Amanda over 20%, knowing in my heart, and got that she rushed me, and she did not apply the liquid gel correctly. I have been getting my nails done for five years with liquid gel and rubber gel, and never have I walked out of a salon within 35 minutes, especially knowing that my nails are naturally long and require a good bit of time and care to even just clean my cuticles. I reached out to them instead of writing a review, because I did not want to publicly affect their business, but now I am choosing to share here because it has been a week, and they are choosing to just ignore my calls. Ignore my text messages and I still have not gotten a call back from a manager like I requested a week ago and they promised they would call back. I called again today to try to speak with the manager and the front desk representative was giving me attitude and not giving me an answer of when there is a manager there when I was asking at their managers convenience so I can call back or come into the store to resolve this problem. All I'm asking for is some customer service and a manager to be professional and deal with a customer, and instead they are choosing to just ignore ignore ignore and be unprofessional. I know the owner and or manager is there as I have seen him when I have come in and also have spoken to him on the phone prior to coming in to ask about services and make an appt. They had no problem putting a manager on the phone before when I was trying to make an appointment and schedule and come in so they can take my money, but now that I did go in, it's impossible to somehow get a call or text back from a manager. I understand people get busy, but I also see this as them choosing to be unprofessional, and the lack of concern. I called on a different number than my original one today because they have been ignoring my original one that I have been calling leaving messages and texting from and of course they answered the other phone number right away. Not okay!!! I am attaching pictures of my nails from day one as soon as I walked out of their salon and was in their parking lot as well as week three of my nails. Regardless of the time passing, the liquid gel application is not right!!! They charge more for this for a reason, and I pay more for it as a customer for a reason. Not to be rushed, or just applied like regular gel polish. I have consulted other nail techs and other salons to show them my nails, and they all have said that they can tell the liquid gel wasn't applied right. Not sure if it's their tactic to get customers in an out, but they should not be rushing customers just so they can get more money and also not apply products correctly or give the proper service. Again I was in and out of there within 35 minutes, Amanda used a drill to do my cuticles instead of taking the time to do it right and again applied the liquid gel just like regular gel polish, instead of the application that nail techs are properly taught. Do not go here! Not only do they advertise complementary wine and Wi-Fi on their Instagram, but they don't even offer that in person or water or anything. I walked in they told me to sit down at table 5 and Amanda quickly did my nails within 35 mins. They may seem quick to respond when you DM or call trying to set an appointment, but if you have concerns and want help, that's where you will see the ethical side of this business. Very deceiving on their end.
