So let me preface this review by saying that every appointment I've had with them over the past year plus has been amazing and I've always left happy. Today changed that. The lady who speaks fluent English who works at this establishment performed my pedicure. The woman who performed my acrylic with gel was the petite lady with glasses who wore camo capris and a black top that day. The pedicure lady kept talking and telling me what to do with my legs and feet instead of the usual light tap on each foot. This was really distracting and made it difficult to be able and sit and relax and fully enjoy the experience. Other than that, there was no friendly conversation. The massage wasn't too bad.
After the pedicure, I went to the manicure station to get a new set of tips. I was surprised when they charged for changing to a new set. The nail salons I'm used to going to don't charge for that. It started off with the nail technician getting a fake nail, and without using anything to soften the nails, and despite my request FOUR TIMES to have my nails wrapped in the foil so they don't hurt so much and make it easier to remove the softened old nails, she painfully removed all but 2 nails (which had popped off) with one of the plastic fake nails. She asked if it hurt AFTER removing the nails. What was I supposed to say, why yes, even though there's now nothing you can do to not make it hurt, it's fine?
A little while after that, I had to continually asked if she could clip a painful hang nail. She said, "so what you want me do?" I kept asking for one little hang nail to be clipped. At this point, she got an attitude with me and became vocally rude with me. After putting on nail bed softener, I knew she was trying to force a manicure that I kept telling her I didn't want, just one hang nail taken care of. So I kept asking why just a hang nail cost $10 to clip and asking for reassurance that what she was doing wasn't a manicure. I finally had to wipe off the serum on my nail beds and cut 4 cuticles after I repeatedly told her to stop. In a rude voice, she said get up and wash hands..
She wore no gloves while pushing down my nail beds on the sides with her nails that were dirty for all I knew.
She spent up to 2 hours filing down the acrylic, including obsessively filing down my nail bed and creating cuts on them from it. I noticed that my nails were lower on the left side and elevated on the right, thus they are uneven. This nail technician didn't speak a word to me otherwise through the entire appointment, but spoke to her coworker in her native language. Was she complaining or bad mouthing me? Why wasn't she trying to have a conversation with me instead? To me, the entire appointment was quite rude and unenjoyable
After being at the salon for close to 4 hours for just an organic pedicure and acrylic with gel, I was emotionally exhausted, so when I was asked how everything was, I was just exhausted and didn't have the energy to get into everything. I was beyond shocked at how I was treated yesterday, so as not to risk a repeat, I do not think I will be back. If you go here, don't see either of the 2 ladies that I had.
$140 was too much.
This is my experience.
