University Park Creative Arts School

University Park Creative Arts School (UPCA) offers Visual and Performing Arts programs. University Park was designated a Magnet School of Distinction in 2008 by Magnet Schools of America. All activities are carried out in partnership with parents, staff, and students. We tailor our instruction to students by making connections and getting to know and understand them, as this helps us motivate and build students. UPCA staff looks for and applies the most current research-based strategies and best practices to support students. This includes arts-based education. If students are motivated to learn new things and high expectations are set for students, they are more likely to succeed. Students' engagement with authentic tasks promotes the greatest learning. The diverse backgrounds of students will be celebrated and encouraged. Students will have high-quality teachers to deliver high-quality education.
