El Museo

El Museo was established in 1981 to bring cultural programming and artists from historically marginalized populations to Western New York. Art is unique in that it is its own creative outlet. El Museo creates and curates art to help Western New Yorkers build a brighter future by supporting and exhibiting diverse cultures and artists. The organization strives to reimagine the human experience and depth of our city's residents and ancestors. Paradoxically, this requires appealing to light and dark aspects of our world. In practice, creating art and viewing it helps us learn, connect, grow, and understand one another's perspectives.
