ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

Ballet Arts Center for Dance, NYC: An Exciting American Dance History Example An example of American dance history is Ballet Arts. Ballet Arts was established in 1937 and is one of the longest-established, continuously operating dance schools in the history of New York City. Our students can achieve great success in the world of dance due to the fact that the studios where we learn were once home to some of America's best dancers and choreographers for over 80 years. Many of America's most recognized ballets were created and rehearsed in these studios. Furthermore, some of the most famous 20th Century dancers, choreographers, and performers have come from Ballet Arts. The Isadora Duncan Dancers, Ted Shawn, Ruth St. Denis, and Yeichi Nimura were some of the earliest dance pioneers to perform at Ballet Arts, which was then housed in Studio 61 of Carnegie Hall. In popularizing the American ballet scene, Ballet Arts was a significant part, thanks to the early activities of Michael Mordkin, Lucia Chase (who helped found Ballet Theatre shortly after), Agnes DeMille, Jerome Robbins, George Balanchine, and many others. Ballet Arts is the best learning center, with its excellent faculty and creativity in the United States.

SUMMARY   Reviews Summary

Ballet Arts consistently receives glowing praise for its exceptional dance classes and charming studio, with many reviewers mentioning the studio and their community are genuinely unique. Richard Marsden and Kenny stand out for their abilities as talented dance teachers, with students emphasising their inspiration, warmth, and attention to blending aesthetics and helping students develop strong dance technique. The environment is also vital to the studio community, which appreciates the studio's cleanliness and the welcoming spirit of Stephen Reed, the owner. Students frequently claim that they have established friendships at the studio and created a second home. The studio has classes for all levels, from beginners to experienced dancers, and many students describe the teachers as gifted at helping them navigate their own journey. I think Ballet Arts should be considered an excellent place for dance in NYC based on the many positive reviews that capture an environment that promotes growth and joy.
