Freedom Reference Number: Portal Project ID: 306659 Freedom Solar Support 1-888-557-6431 Solar System installed April 27th 2023 Called Support line June 19th, 2023 after waiting for 2 months for inspections from Redwood City and PG&E Message on support # directs me to a portal that provides update on the project status I had asked for portal to be setup May 2nd…. Never was setup by Account Rep Michael Cantellano Copy of email Dan Dosen May 2, 2023, 6:00 PM to Michael Hi Michael; Can you have the project status setup in the Portal. An Error has Occurred – Please contact your sale representative to have a contract generated. June 19th: Spent 40 minutes on support line and learned install project from April 27th had not been completed. Was told a prep visit June 23rd to paint conduit and install grounding rod. Noted them to call me as to location of the grounding rod. I will update if they actual called. ( Odd that they scheduled the completion of the install for 4 days after I complained). There was no communication that installers were showing up on June 23rd so I suspect they just scheduled after I complained. If I had the project status portal I had requested then maybe I would not have been in the dark. Next steps: Freedom to submit for final inspections to Redwood City for final inspection. Freedom submits to PG&E to turn it on. Typically 30 business days to have it move to Net 2.0 metering. ` Solar Edge monitoring details will be provided for phone app ( and possibly a portal ) after PG&E approves. June 19th learned the system was installed and left ON without a grounding rod. Assuming the system is not grounded. Is this a problem?? I asked support if the system should be turned on or off as it was left on by the installers. Support did not know if it should be on or off. I researched this to see if it was a problem having the system on when it is not grounded. Learned that the system needs to be on or solar panels will get hot from producing electricity if there is no where for the the electricity to go. So I left it on even though it is not grounded. June 19th Michael Cantallano emails me asking which portal needs to be setup, the “Freedom Forever portal” or the “Monitoring portal. My email from May 2nd stated the project status portal which is the freedom forever. The project is not complete as I learned on the June 19th call with support. Why would I have a monitoring portal for a system that has not completed install. Michaels response tells me he has no idea what is going on.
